Elsa goes BOB!!!

WOW! What a great weekend we had.  It was beautiful weather, sunny and 60 degrees.  

I decided, last minute, to enter Elsa on Saturday for her first AKC trial.   What an exciting day!  Not only did she go first in the open stake (13 open dogs) for a 4pt major, she went all the way and earn her first Best of Breed (7 specials) - making her total for her first trial 5 points!!!

I was just thrilled with this young girl's drive and speed on this hilly field.  So very proud of her and looking forward to an exciting year ahead.  Big thanks to Judge Holly Hamilton.   

I decided that one day on the hilly Reidsville course was enough for this young girl at this point in time (she is only 14 months old).  So Sunday I only entered the older girls, Blondie and Mystic.  Both girls were in the ribbons on Sunday.   All ran safe and were sound at the end of the weekend.

Looking forward to another 2 days of coursing this coming weekend, we will be in Rocky Mount.

Elsa's first trial!!!

It was a cool sunny weekend in Camden, SC.  

CLCS held it's annual Janurary Jam on Jan. 18/19th. 

ELSA had passed her Pre. Cert several weeks ago and we decided to run her and Dylan this weekend, leaving the older kids at home.  My hope was to have both girls run safely for their first ASFA trials. 

I am so happy to report that both girls had nice safe runs both days.   However, Elsa did not stop there.  She surprised me greatly by placing both days in both a large field and tough competition!!!

Saturday she was 4th out of 19 open whippets for her first 10 pts.   Then on Sunday she was 2nd out of 17 whippets for another 30 pts. and now qualified to run in the 2014 ASFA II this coming year in Florida.  

I am so proud of this young girl!   I see a bright future for her and I can't wait to see what the rest of 2014 brings!!!

Blondie goes WB

I am so excited to report that Blondie (FC Cali's Blonde Ambition MC) went Winners Bitch this past weekend under Judge Joan Goldstien for her first Bench Championship points!!!!   Way to go Miss Blondie - proud of our little girl!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!!!

Fun Weekend of Lure Coursing!

This past weekend we traveled down to Camden, SC for some AKC Lure Coursing.

On top of a good weekend of coursing we were able to spend some time with friends and enjoy some Christmas celebrations!  

The most exciting news of the weekend is that Blondie was BOB on Saturday!  We are so proud of this little girl.  This big win should keep her in the top 20 rankings for the 2013 year!   She has really dug deep and found her stride lately.   Here are some pics of her this weekend:

Also on Saturday, Max (TNT's Red Son Rising O'Cali) is the first of Spirit's puppies to pass his QC test and we can't wait to see some Spirit pups start running.  No doubt that he is a Spirit pup from these pics :)   Congrats to Donna and Larry Richards who own Max.  

On Sunday we let Morgan join in on some fun and run.  She is looking good at 6.5 yo.

Finally, both Hendrix, Elsa and Dylan all had great practices!!!   Here is a pic of Hendrix - love his low, easy gliding stride!   So very excited about these young kids :)
