Fun Weekend of Lure Coursing!

This past weekend we traveled down to Camden, SC for some AKC Lure Coursing.

On top of a good weekend of coursing we were able to spend some time with friends and enjoy some Christmas celebrations!  

The most exciting news of the weekend is that Blondie was BOB on Saturday!  We are so proud of this little girl.  This big win should keep her in the top 20 rankings for the 2013 year!   She has really dug deep and found her stride lately.   Here are some pics of her this weekend:

Also on Saturday, Max (TNT's Red Son Rising O'Cali) is the first of Spirit's puppies to pass his QC test and we can't wait to see some Spirit pups start running.  No doubt that he is a Spirit pup from these pics :)   Congrats to Donna and Larry Richards who own Max.  

On Sunday we let Morgan join in on some fun and run.  She is looking good at 6.5 yo.

Finally, both Hendrix, Elsa and Dylan all had great practices!!!   Here is a pic of Hendrix - love his low, easy gliding stride!   So very excited about these young kids :)

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY to our BLONDES!!!!!

So hard for me to believe that our Morgan/Chevy pups are already 2 years old.  

We are so very excited to announce that Henry had the most wonderful Birthday present and he has now found his forever home with Caleb and Michael.
He has now moved to Texas and has a very sweet sister named Gracie.
We hope that all works out for them and that they move to NC soon!!

Righty gets his first Major Win in the ring!

We would like to congratulate Cora Miller and her boy "Righty" - Cali's Right On Red For Hound Hill on going WD/BOW/BOS for a Major win today in New York under Judge Eugene Blake.  

This was Righty's first time in the ring and we couldn't be more proud of him.   A big congrats should also go to Papa "Tobias" (DC Hound Hill Tobias MC FCh) and to Mama "Spirit" (NFC DC Cali N TNT's Spirit of the Wild of Nitro MC LCX6 FCh).  

Way to go Righty!

Lure Coursing News - June 2013

What a great weekend of AKC lure coursing we had in Camden, SC.  We had all the GIRLS running this weekend.  Saturday: Dylan earned a point towards her championship title and all 3 of our specials (Mystic (2nd), Spirit (3rd) and Blondie (5th)) all placed in a tough field of Field Champions.  Sunday: Both Dylan and BLondie placed in their stakes, but Spirit gave me the best birthday present, going Best of Breed!   Very proud of all the girls this weekend!   As always, we also had a great time hanging out with all our friends!!!

Both puppies had Great practices.  Hendrix is still focusing on going straight and did a good 100 yard sprint down and back.  We let Elsa do her first turns and she did a nice 250 yard loop with some wide open turns.   Very happy with how both pups ran.   They are 7 months old now...... all is going well :)
