New Champion in the house!

Introducing New Champion:

Ch Ableaim Morgan Le Fay, MC (Morgan)

"Know me stranger .... for
I am thy life blood
and thy nectar.
I shall wet thy lips parched by the winds of deprivation,
and nourished shall be thy body,
dessicated by the scorching inferno of intemperence.
Rest thy head upon my bosom, lose thyself in the ecstacy of my caress,
and know me ..... for I .... am .... Morgan LeFay."

Good Luck to all - it is a new year!!!

I am excited! - for us here at Cali Whippets it is the eve before the new Coursing year starts!! This coming weekend will be our first 2010 Lure Coursing Trial. The dogs have had a chance to rest, Mike and I have a new motor home and we are ready to go! Last year was an amazing year for us. I never dreamed that we would have ended the year with the #1 whippet and #1 sighthound for AKC Lure Coursing. Congrats go to Spirit for this wonderful accomplishment. She is an amazing girl and I love her heart! I will cherish this past year for all its memories, who knows what the future will bring.
It is now a new year and we have new goals. I look forward to see what this year will bring and if we can accomplish those goals!
Good luck and safe running to all the hounds!!! See you on the coursing field (finally!)!!!!!!

What is a Title ?

"Not just a brag, not just a stepping stone to a higher title, not just an adjunct to competitive score, a title is a tribute to the dog that bears it, a way to honor the dog, an ultimate memorial.
It will remain in the record and in the memory for about as long as anything in the world can remain. And though the dog itself doesn't know or care that it's achievements have been noted, a title says many things in the world of humans where such things count. A title says your dog was intelligent, adaptable, and good natured. It says your dog loves you enough to do the things that pleased you, however crazy they may have seemed. In addition, a title says that you loved your dog, that you loved to spend time with your dog, because it was a good dog, and that you believed in your dog enough to give it yet another chance when it failed, and in the end your faith was justified.
A title proves that your dog inspired you ton that special relationship, enjoyed by so few, that in a world of disposable creatures, this dog with a title was greatly loved, and loved greatly in return. And when that dear, short life is over, the title remains as a memorial of the finest kind, the best you can give to a deserving friend. Volumes of praise, in one small set of initials, before or after the name. A CH., obedience, agility, etc. title is nothing less than true love and respect, given and recorded permanently."
